Nordic Walking - a march with sticks invented by a group of Finnish doctors and outstanding athletes.

A new and simple way to increase the level of our activity, march with the use of specially designed sticks. The whole is reminiscent of cross-country skiing combined with a sports walk.

Apparently Nordic Walking was invented in the twenties, however, it has been experiencing dynamic development since 1997 when the Finnish company "Exel" produced the first specialized sticks for Nordic Walking

Finns spend more than half their lives in conditions that are not very favorable due to the lack of sun, so all the more they care about improving their fitness through movement.

Nordic Walking is an extremely gentle sport, it saves the entire body locomotion apparatus / joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles. It does not set too much requirements, you do not need to learn any complicated exercises.

Degrees awarded by the Polish Nordic Walking Federation:

• NW instructor (equivalent to INWA Instructor)

Possessing the NW Instructor ID entitles you to conduct Nordic Pole Walking training independently.

• NW Guide (equivalent to the INWA Activity Leader)

Having the NW Guide card entitles you to conduct Nordic Walking training classes only in groups trained by a person holding the title of an NW Instructor or conducting movement classes in the NW area under the supervision of the NW Instructor.

• Coach NW

Having the NW Trainer ID entitles you to conduct instructor training and Activity Leader, in the case of conducting training under the aegis of PFNW, entitles you to conduct training together with INWA trainer.

• Judge NW

Possession of the NW Judge's card entitles to judge all competitions of the Polish Nordic Walking Federation.

• Class III judge - persons after completing the course of the judge and with a positive result of the exam.
• Class II judge - persons with a minimum one-year refereeing experience as a class III judge (at least 3 contests according to PFNW regulations), which will receive a positive opinion of the Judges Committee.
• 1st class referee - persons with a minimum 2-year traineeship as a 2nd class referee (at least 3 competitions in each year according to PFNW regulations), which will receive a positive opinion of the Judges Committee.
• International judge - outstanding persons (with a minimum of two years 'experience as a 1st class judge in at least three occupations in each year according to PFNW regulations, who obtain a positive opinion of the Judges' Commission and demonstrate a minimum basic English knowledge.
