The Association of Catholic School Friends was established on November 11, 1990 (entered into the District Court in Częstochowa into the register of associations on December 17, 1990, No. KRS 0000044175). It was established as an answer to the call of the Holy Father. John Paul II "towards the new Evangelization". The Association of Friends of Catholic Schools is a Catholic educational and educational organization whose charism can be included in the words "we educate to educate".

The Association carries out this charism of the integral development of the human person, by establishing and running kindergartens and schools at various stages of education. Each school founded by the Association of Catholic School Friends is a response to the call of John Paul II for a new evangelization. This is done with the consent of the proper Bishop of the Diocese.

During the 20-year history of its existence, the Association of Catholic School Friends has founded and runs 100 schools and 10 kindergartens in 15 dioceses, 10 provinces. Running schools in which the goal, in accordance with the teaching of John Paul II, is to care for the integral development of man: teacher and student - this is our response to the call of the Polish Pope. Currently, 6327 children attend the schools of the Association. The association is an employer for 1526 employees.

In the 20-year history of the Association in setting up and running schools, we constantly experienced the protection of our patron, John Paul II. Also, the SPSK schools, as communities, experience in their history the action and intercession of John Paul II who begs God's blessing in the occurring difficulties, intentions, actions undertaken and daily work.

In 2000, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers honored the Association of Catholic School Friends with the "Pro Publico Bono" award for a civic initiative in the field of education.
