The Association of Tarnogórska Land Lovers is one of the oldest and most distinguished regional organizations in the country. The origins of our activity date back to the 50s of the last century. The historic Silver Mine and the "Black Trout" Tunnel are our flagship tourist facilities that we own. In addition to tourist traffic, we have our own accommodation for 49 places. We also deal with educational, publishing and research activities. We are a member of the Silesian Tourist Organization and belong to the Industrial Monuments Route of the Silesian Voivodeship. HISTORICAL SILVER MINE - this is part of a unique underground labyrinth of mining excavations, sidewalks and drainage drifts bored in the dolomite rock from the 16th to the 20th century. In the building of the Silver Mine's headquarters there is a Multimedia Museum, where you can get acquainted with the history, geology, and techniques of extraction and drainage of the Tarnogórska underground. Eye is animated by an animated steam engine, one of the first on the European continent, installed in the city in 1788. Near the mine building there is the Skansen Maszynowe steam park (over 30 exhibits). The underground tourist route is located at a depth of 40 meters. A fragment of nineteenth-century undergrounds with a length of 1740 m has been made available to visitors, including a 270-meter section covered with boats. In 2012, the underground tourist route was broadcast with authentic sounds of hard work of gulls, the effects of mining collapses, driving carts and blasting works. In the basement there is a specific microclimate with a constant temperature of 10ºC. Visiting the mine together with the museum takes about 90 minutes. It is possible to book a guide in German, English, French, Spanish, Russian and Czech. On request (at an additional cost) the customer can meet in the underground "SKARBNIKA" - the legendary spirit of the mine or view the "SHOW OF WORKING GWARK" in one of the underground chambers. In 2004, the Tarnogórska underground was inscribed on the presidential list of Monuments of History. THE "BLACK TROLL" CHUTE The "Black Trout" adit has been open for visitors in 1957. It is a fragment of the 19th-century Sztolnia Głęboka Fryderyk, which once drained mine waters to the surface of the earth. The adit is located in the beautiful nature and landscape park "Park in Reptach and Drama Valley". Visiting the object starts with going down the winding stairs to the underground marina located in the "Ewa" or "Sylwester" shafts (swinging traffic). A few dozen meters underground tourists get on the boat and in a mysterious scenery, by the light of shimmering carbide lamps, a 600 m section passes. It is the longest underground boat movement in Poland. The guide pushing the boats away from the side walls tells about the history of Tarnowskie Góry. There is a temperature of about 10 ° C in the underground of the tunnel. The duration of the visit is about 60 minutes.
