The Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP was created in 1965 as a state institute, whose main task was to develop and implement new technologies, automation systems, production equipment and specialist control and measuring equipment in various industries. Over fifty years of our close cooperation with the industry have resulted in a number of new studies and significant implementations.

Currently, our activities are focused in the areas of:

• automation and robotization of production processes,
• automation of inter-operational transport,
• quality control systems using vision technique,
• mobile robots for special applications,
• industrial measuring systems,
• specialist control and measuring apparatus,
• car recycling,
• implementation of projects under international cooperation.
