A notary is appointed to perform activities that the parties are obliged to or wish to give a notarial form (notarial activities).
In the cases specified in the Act, notary activities may also be performed by a notary's deputy or a notary's apprentice.
A notary public acts as a person of public trust in the scope of his rights, using the protection of public officials.
Notarial acts, performed by a notary public in accordance with the law, are in the nature of an official document. Notary acts are carried out by a notary public at a notary's office, however, a notary activity may also be carried out elsewhere, if the nature of the activity or special circumstances proves this.
