Etalon-Informatika is a 100% Hungarian owned, private company founded in 1998 that over the past 16 years, has grown at a steady, continuous rate, as demonstrated by its expanded range of products and services, increased customer base, and objective business indicators.
From the year of its founding, it has been characterised by profitable operations, increasing its bottom line from year to year, until in 2013, revenues exceeded a net total of 2 billion Hungarian forints (7 million euros). A significant portion of the company’s revenues – more than 50% – arise from the provision of services, with primary reference to monthly hardware maintenance and repairs, as well as software system operation and support services.
Though Etalon’s size, financial background, and references are substantial enough to permit the company to compete for the largest information technology projects in Hungary, it has been careful to remain within that critical limit that allows it to react flexibly to its customer’s needs. The vast majority of our forty-strong team of employees and contractors comprises system engineers with special professional training and certification.
Etalon is a company that specialises in the sale of high-reliability business servers and related business continuity support services, including monthly hardware maintenance, emergency error resolution and corrective maintenance within a specified time limit, operating system support, and consulting. Etalon’s business philosophy centres on providing flexible, superior quality, high-standard, reliable, cost-effective service. Our business is one of the very few information technology enterprises that has been named a top partner of two high-profile information technology manufacturers, IBM and HP, both of which have granted it broadly defined licenses to sell and support their products. In addition to the above, Etalon also applies its formidable expertise and parts supply base to the flat-rate repair and maintenance of both DELL servers and storage devices, and CISCO network devices.
Etalon’s customer base is composed of large and medium-sized businesses whose reliability and availability requirements with regard to information systems are extremely high. Over 200 companies – major representatives of insurance companies, banks, industrial, commercial, and service enterprises with operations in Hungary – have ongoing monthly-rate contracts with Etalon for the provision of uninterrupted services.

The provision of maintenance and repairs is an activity based on trust, whereby the customer expects the service provider to exhibit a financially stable corporate structure, a broad parts base, reliable parts replacement channels, high-level expertise, and fast, flexible reaction times. From the beginning, Etalon has specialised in services related to industrial-scale business servers and, we believe, meets all of the criteria listed above. Our services are unique in that they come with an independent repair and maintenance support structure, including an independent warehouse and parts base in Budapest, which in terms of the range of options currently operating in Hungary, may be regarded as extraordinary in terms of both value and variety with regard to IBM, HP, DELL, and CISCO equipment alike.
