These devices are intended for registration on the PC platform of telephone or radiotelephone calls conducted on analogue, radio or specialized digital lines. Recording of telephone conversations is carried out in real time on many channels simultaneously. Registered conversations are stored on a computer disk (or other external memory) in a dedicated database. Appropriate software allows you to manage such a database - search, segregate, archive and play recordings, control user rights and protect against unauthorized access, and locally or remotely monitor the database resources.
