The Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz has had the status of a university since 1993 (entry into the Ministry of Education under number 30 on 05/10/1993), is one of the largest non-public universities in Poland offering students a broad spectrum of possible majors and specializations. We have the right to conduct studies in 11 fields, in which we offer students dozens of specializations, constantly updated in terms of the needs of the labor market.
For the humanities, the university offers studies in pedagogy, English and Germanic philology, Polish philology, journalism and social communication, political science and administration. Technically talented young people can develop their passions in such fields as cultural studies, graphics and dance. The offer is completed by transport and nursing. Thanks to the extensive infrastructure, specialized laboratories, the university gives students not only the opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge, passed on by the most valued professors, but also practical skills that are so important on the labor market.
What distinguishes the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź compared to other universities is the subjective approach to each student and developing in him the ability to creatively solve the tasks and problems posed before him.
Our students and lecturers have at their disposal, among others dozens of well-equipped lecture halls, computer and multimedia labs, radio studio, television studios, science labs and exhibition galleries with the famous Patio in Poland, own canteen and the largest free-access library in Łódź.
In order to meet the expectations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in all universities, the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz implements the process of preparing new study programs in accordance with the requirements of the National Qualifications Framework. The result of the studies is to be not only the acquired knowledge, but also the skills possessed. The university will have to take care of to make her graduate able to learn all her life, work in a team or communicate effectively in a group. It is important to acquire personal and social competences. The above objectives are guided by the activities of the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, which from the very beginning has been developing innovative teaching techniques and methods.
The Academy of Humanities and Economics is a university of modern technologies. All fields of study can be studied both in full-time and part-time using a remote teaching platform.
E-learning gives the opportunity to gain knowledge to anyone who has access to a computer connected to the Internet. After logging into the system, the student can use the digital library, textbooks, task sets and multimedia exercises.
The Academy of Humanities and Economics is accredited by the State Accreditation Committee and the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Education. In 2007, the university obtained the right to confer the doctoral degree in three fields: humanities in the field of linguistics, technical sciences in the field of computer science and fine arts in the field of fine arts.
The uniqueness of the school is also its headquarters - preserved fragments of factory walls create a unique industrial atmosphere. Various business and cultural events take place in the renovated 19th-century red brick buildings. The university serves as a patron of culture, gathering people involved in the cultural life of Łódź. It promotes creators and events related to art.

HUMANIAN AND ECONOMIC EDUCATION - UNIVERSAL WITHOUT BARRIERS
The Academy's buildings are adapted to the needs of people with disabilities - elevators, wide passages, toilets. In most buildings at the entrances, special ramps are built for people using wheelchairs. For the visually impaired, the glass door is divided by a transverse strip. The class schedule is arranged so that people in wheelchairs have classes in the rooms, which can be easily reached.
The university is equipped with specialized equipment: induction loops, Amigo R1 receivers, Amigo T20 and T 21 transmitters, as well as a Braille printer and copier machine, which can be used by the deaf and visually impaired students of the Academy from the new year. Inductophonic loops were mounted in the two largest auditorium at the Academy at ul. Revolution of 1905 No. 52 (H and G1), where most lectures are conducted. Thanks to the device, the hearing impaired students will hear the lecture better. Deaf and visually impaired students can use a modern copier and printer that can be used in the library . For the needs of students with disabilities, the University also bought interactive boards Clasus 77 'and a color screen enlarger Eclipse Scholar.
