The Sports and Recreation Center, based in Będzin, is a budgetary unit that was established by order of the President of Będzin from November 11, 1976.

In this way, the current MOSTiW was transformed into a Sports and Recreation Center (OSiR) operating as a budgetary establishment until the end of 1999. Further changes occurred when the resolution of the City Council of 13 December 1999 (No. XVII / 222/99), as of On January 1, 2000, the Sports and Recreation Center in Będzin was established as a budgetary unit, liquidating the budgetary establishment.

OSiR performs its statutory tasks by providing services in the field of sports and recreation on subordinate facilities. In addition, he works closely with organizations and sports clubs. OSiR plays a significant role in maintaining, administering and developing an already existing sports and recreation base.
