History of Prefabricated Ferro-Concrete Factory [WPŻ] in Owśnica, dates back to 1975. The operation of the plant was started under the name of PBE Elbud Gdańsk SA, a company belonging to the state capital. At that time, the plant started the production of precast elements for the needs of the developing energy network of the country. The growing demand from state entities and the slow post-war electrification process required an effective increase in the production capacity of the WPŻ. The introduced law on the universal electrification of villages and settlements, being the first and only such a post-war regulation of the State, had a significant impact on the development process of the plant. During this period, the label strengthened the position of a leading supplier of prefabricated elements for the power industry.

In 2014, WPŻ started a new phase of its activity as WPŻ Elbud Gdańsk Sp. z o. o. The current organizational culture of the company puts on the pedestal a successive development of production capacities and a dynamic adaptation of the product offer to the current needs of the domestic and foreign market.

The stable financial portfolio introduced and the modern management system combined with many years of knowledge capital are today a strong foundation for the future of our plant.

Recent investments in the machine park as well as constant development and research on the product offer have been successively increasing the competitiveness of the plant.
