The Academic Center for Artistic Initiative (AOIA) is an urban cultural institution established in 2005 from the merger of the Academic Center of Culture and the legendary 77 Theater. The Center's activity focuses on the activation of the academic community in the space related to culture and art. Since 2005, the creators find support and assistance in various artistic realizations in AOIA. We assume that it is worth supporting young as well as experienced artists, because without them - without their involvement, without special sensitivity, without factors developing a conscious presence in contemporary culture, our activities would not make sense. We promote innovation, creativity and ingenuity, as well as the huge enthusiasm that continues to accompany artistic initiatives. We regularly cooperate with the largest centers of academic life in Lodz: the University of Lodz, the Academy of Fine Arts, the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater, the College of Art and Design, private higher schools and non-governmental organizations and other entities operating in the sphere of culture and art. We cordially invite artists interested in organizing cultural events together with the Academic Center for Artistic Initiatives. We have the necessary substantive and technical facilities as well as experienced staff. The center involves lecturers in the field of culture and art, instructors and people conducting workshops. A well-equipped event hall with a mobile stage and auditorium, two exhibition spaces (Foyer Gallery and Student Cafe Gallery), as well as a small hall where rehearsals, theater and ballet workshops, etc. allow you to achieve your goals. AOIA also has an Active Senior Center - within which meetings, concerts, performances, integration and recreational activities are organized.
