A social organization operating in the form of an association, founded on November 11, 2007 . She was registered in the court on August 25, 2008

• supporting all activities aimed at promoting the Dąbrowa Basin,
• supporting and supporting social initiatives in the field of economy, environmental protection, culture, sport and tourism,
• supporting infrastructure development,
• development of civic awareness,
• cultivating historical and cultural traditions of the Dąbrowa Basin,
• expressing opinions on matters related to the Dąbrowa Basin,
• supporting social activity of residents.
• exchange of information and experience between persons and institutions interested,
• integration of communities from individual regions of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie.

The idea of ​​establishing a regional association in the Dąbrowa Basin was born among the local Internet community, and the originator of this undertaking was Dariusz Jurek - the current president of the association. The idea found a big response and was immediately supported by other people.

As a result, on November 11, 2007 , a group of Internet users and lovers of Zagłębie Dąbrowski met in Czeladź at the founding meeting of Forum for Zagłębie Dąbrowskie. Due to formal and organizational reasons, municipal associations were established in Czeladź , Dąbrowa Górnicza and Sosnowiec . A little later also in Będzin .

After more than half a year of activity, according to the will of most members of ordinary municipal associations, it was decided on the basis of the Będzin organization to establish a regional association and obtain its entry in the National Court Register, which took place on 25 August 2008 . At the same time, people who preferred activities within the urban association were concentrated in another organization of the Forum for Zagłębie Dąbrowskie - Sosnowiec
